It’s All On Our Doorstep

Steeped in History
The villages of Westham and Pevensey are within walking distance of Fairfields Farm. Steeped in history, both have beautiful architecture. Discover the first Norman Church which was built in 1080 and the Roman fortress of Pevensey Castle, the landing place of William the Conqueror’s army in 1066. You will also find a post office, newsagent, hairdressers, beautician, tea rooms and a fish & chip shop, along with several pubs and restaurants.

Eastbourne’s Sovereign Marina
Sovereign Marina is just 3 miles from Fairfields Farm and well worth a visit. Watch the boats come and go through the four linked harbours and take a stroll along The Waterfront with its stretch of restaurants, cafes and boutiques lining the water’s edge. The Marina is also now home to Quay Fisheries. Situated just behind The Harvester restaurant, the local fishing fleet are based here and sell to customers and the trade. The complex is also next to The Crumbles shopping area, with an Asda, Next, Boots, Sports Direct, Matalan, TK Maxx, Wilko, and more. There is free parking for both The Crumbles and the Marina.

Beautiful Beaches
Eastbourne, with its Victorian promenades and beautiful beaches, is 3 miles to the west of our farm. The town is well known for its spectacular Airshow every August and Eastbourne International Tennis which takes place in June. They form part of a packed programme of events every year, adding to the town’s theatres, town centre shopping and 8-screen cinema within ‘The Beacon’.

Perfect for Walking Holidays
For walkers and cyclists, the landscape to the west of Eastbourne climbs dramatically to Beachy Head and the rolling South Downs which now have National Park status. It’s a wonderful place to explore with magnificent views.
Fairfields Farm is conveniently situated for the South Downs Way, the Cuckoo Trail and 1066 walk.
